A shrine was built by the lake for Ste. Anne, grandmother of Jesus, in 1889 - representing and honouring the grandmother figures in first nations culture. Since then, pilgrims have come to the lake for its healing waters and worship.
Although, many do not come for the religious aspect. Particularly the youth.

Saturday was a busy day for me. In the morning through the afternoon, I went to cover the Indy (see below) and immediately went to shoot Therese and Dan’s wedding.
Here are a few photos from the wedding:

I had the opportunity to cover the Edmonton Indy this past weekend. Unfortunately, I could not photograph the actual race on Saturday since I was shooting a wedding that evening (pics to come). All of these photos are from two days of practice and qualifying laps.
I wasn’t covering the race for any publication, but was able to gain credentials since my second-cousin’s husband was driving in the race: Townsend Bell in car #23. My great-uncle Rod Campbell is also involved in motorsports, including Indy, at the highest level.
And of course, the poster girl for Indy, Danica Patrick was driving.
